William Doell Masonic Library

Enjoying the library after lodgeAfter our March stated meeting and the official visit of the Grand Master, we went upstairs to dedicate our library to the memory of our recently departed brother Bill Doell.

It was Bill who turned this otherwise unused and empty space into a library-- the third largest Masonic library in the state.  We toasted Bill's memory as he would have wished and placed a brass plaque on the door which reads:

In grateful recognition of his years of service to the Craft and to all mankind, the brethren of University Lodge dedicate this place of learning and fellowship to the memory of W:. B:. Bill Doell, whose gentle manner and generous spirit will live forever in our hearts.
